A recent report says that over 8,000,000 children under the age of six live in over 40,000 slums across India. These children need to be rescued from hopelessness.
Operation Child Rescue, along with Asian Aid, operates a school in the largest city slum in the city of Vizak, India.
The school is the only HOPE for most of these children. It’s estimated that 50% of the children’s parents are prostitutes or simply petty thieves. If it wasn’t for this school, most of the children would not attend school.
Located right in the slum, six dedicated teachers rescue the children from hopelessness by giving an education.
