It is estimated that over 31 million children are orphaned in India. Thousands of children are abandoned by parents or family not because of not caring but simply they cannot cope or simply feed the child. Many girls are abandoned because they are a burden to the family.
In India, Operation Child Rescue directly helps fund the Ashram Trust who for over 20 years have operated a baby rescue center. Children are found by the trust and dropped off by police or hospitals. Babies are found dropped off at these police stations or hospitals or simply found abandoned by the road.
One Sunday morning, two boys going to play soccer heard a baby crying at the park. They found one month old Mali in the grass suffering malnutrition and barely alive! After being taken to the local hospital she is now alive and has been given HOPE by Operation Child Rescue. Please help give HOPE to a helpless baby.
